Source documentation format

Documentation source format

The documentation source format is designed to allow:

• Describe complex structured matters, including user documentation, programmatic API and data
• Provide rich text formatting abilities;
• Keep all documentation source independent from final format (e.g. CHM, Web documentation, PDF);
• Keep all documentation source is plain text files.

Note: while documentation source can be modified in any text editor, using of XCE.NET or Visual Source Code is highly recommended. Both provide syntax highlighting, on-the-fly syntax validation and basic intellisense features.
